Job Description

Based in Te Kuiti, our Network Services Team are responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our network for our customers. Our focus is to ensure the network meets our customers’ needs on a day-to-day basis by utilising all the sustainable technology available.  We're about sparking innovation and shining brightly in everything we do.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Perform trenching, laying underground utility services, and installing earth mats
  • Operate machinery such as rammers, small diggers, and bulldozers
  • Ensure job sites comply with LTSA traffic management standards
  • Direct traffic and interpret utility plans accurately
  • Coordinate with operations staff to maintain seamless workflow
  • Follow documented procedures to ensure safety and efficiency on all job sites

Ideally you will need to have:

  • NCEA Level 2 with at least 2 years’ experience with underground works, trenching and foundation preparation (hugely beneficial)
  • Full Class 1 drivers Licence – essential
  • Tracks and Wheels, Forklift Licence and Class 2 Drivers Licence (hugely beneficial) 
  • Strong understanding of LTSA traffic management standards
  • Ability to operate relevant machinery safely and efficiently
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety standards
